The Arab Students Association (ASA) Yale Friends of Turkey (YFT), in
conjunction with McKinsey & Co and several partners at Yale University,
are organizing a conference on Entrepreneurship in the Middle East. It
is the collaborators’ vision to organize a conference that sheds a
different light on a region where great opportunities are constantly
overshadowed by politically charged news headlines. Such an initiative,
falls within the ASA’s mission of breaking down stereotypes and closing
the divide between the people of the U.S. and the Middle East.
The conference will take place on the 6th of November on Yale Campus.
It will consist of two Keynote speakers, the first being Fadi Ghandour
of Aramex and the second being Hani Al Maskati, Managing Partner within Cash Management Matters, Bahrain. The
conference will also involve two panels covering the topics: Social
Entrepreneurship, Education and Socioeconomic Development and The Role
of Women in Entrepreneurship. There will also be a talk on the Future of
Renewable Energy in the Middle East.

10:00 am- Registration
11:00 am- Opening Address by Professor Mine Eder
11:45 am- First keynote speech delivered by Fadi Ghandour, CEO of ARAMEX on "Entrepreneurship in the Middle East"
12:30 pm- Lunch Break
1:30 pm- Panel 1: Social Entrepreneurship and the Socioeconomic Development
2:30 pm- Panel 2: The Role of Women in Entrepreneurship
3:30 pm- Coffee Break
4:00 pm- Talk on Entrepreneurship and Renewable Energy
5:00 pm- Second keynote speech delivered by Kito de Boer of McKinsey & Co.
on "The Role of the Government in Promoting Entrepreneurship"
6:15 pm- Closing Address by Hani Al Maskati, Managing Partner within
Cash Management Matters, Bahrain.

The Arab Student' Association is an undergraduate organization and an important part of the Yale community. We aim to spread awareness about the Arab world, its culture, and contemporary issues in the region. We also work in an effort to bridge the various cultural gaps between the Arab World and the United States, in the hopes of promoting a mutual and firm understanding.
The Yale Friends of Turkey is a student-run organization at Yale University that aims to connect a diverse group of members over topics related to Turkey and the Turkish Culture.
